One of my goals for this year was to start using A6 notebooks to stay more organised and, at the same time, as a kind of journal.
So, I thought I’d share how I’m using them in case you find it helpful.
I’m not an expert at this, every month, I’ll try out new sections to see what works best for me.
I bought a pack of three A6 notebooks: one plain, one lined, and one with dotted pages. I’m using the dotted one, and so far, it’s been really useful.
Here’s how I’m organising it:
✅ Page 1: Monthly goals
✅ Page 2: Daily numerical tracker
Each day, I rate how my day went from 1 to 5 – 1 being terrible, 5 being great.
✅ Page 3: Quick journal
I write a one-sentence highlight of my day. It doesn’t have to be anything big – meeting up with friends, going for a morning walk, enjoying a good coffee…
✅ Page 4: Finances
I track all my expenses and income for the month.
✅ Pages 5-6: Weekly goals & habits
And at the back of the notebook…
On the last page, I’ve written my yearly goals, and I’ve left a couple of pages for each project I’m working on, like my Substack or my first book.
Do you use this pocket notebook too?
I hope you found it helpful.
See you next week!
Yes, most people who know me would say I have a slight (maybe more) obsession with notebooks. It's always my favourite gift at Christmas.
I also rate my days. I do 1-10. I generally find that even when part of my day hasn't been great, overall the day has been a good day.
I am completely obsessed with all kinds of office supplies, including notebooks. I have a very special notebook that I use as both a journal and my weekly to-do list. It fits in my handbag and goes everywhere with me.
